Much like Storm Claudia hit the northern region the night before, City swept the visitors away at the their home ground. It was a emphatic three goal win for their manager's side due to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a result that firmly established their championship potential as they strengthened their place at the league summit.

Consecutive Losses for United

This result signalled successive WSL defeats for Skinner's side for the initial occasion since last May, putting them seven points off the table toppers with their trophy ambitions hanging by a thread.
