I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
