An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
